Mission
Hoʻolaʻi exists to inspire and empower our lāhui to reclaim peace, healing, and well-being by reconnecting with nature, culture, creativity, and self. Rooted in Hawaiian values, we honor the everyday practices that keep us grounded so we can live with intention, balance, and pono.
Hoʻolaʻi: To cause to be still, peaceful, calm, quiet
Why did I start Hoʻolaʻi?
Hoʻolaʻi is a space I created to reconnect; with myself, with nature, with art, and with culture. It came from a feeling more than a plan. The word laʻi itself speaks to calm, peace, and stillness. Thatʻs what I hope each piece carries.
When I started Hoʻolaʻi, I didn’t fully know where it would lead, but I knew I wanted to create something that felt real and true. Something that reflected my own process of grounding, healing, and reconnecting to what matters. Through all of lifeʻs challenges, what got me through it was recentering myself, prioritizing my health (physical and mental), and finding ways to bring peace into my life.
This isn’t just another brand. It’s a reflection of intentional living within the beauty of Hawaiʻi. Staying rooted in calmness, connection, and culture. Taking care of our mind, body and soul. Nurturing relationships with people and our ʻāina.
Whether it's through time in nature, being active, moments of peace, or being surrounded by our community, Hoʻolaʻi is a reminder to breathe and practice being present. Although life isn't calm 24/7, we can allow ourselves a moment to embrace a peaceful state of mind. Recentering and recognizing the things we can be grateful for.
I wanted to create something that speaks to that state of laʻi - something you can wear, move in, live in, or simply add to your space. I hope my products can bring along a sense of grounding, peace, and connection on your journey wherever it lives.
This is just the beginning. I’m learning, growing, and building this brand with heart, care, and a deep love for where I come from. If you’re here reading this, thank you. You’re part of this journey.
Mahalo for being here.
